We drooled at the random Nestors, Marauders and other blingy but inefficient ships they decided to bring to the POS bash. that didn't stop them from showing up at 0300 to kill it however, they brought the same Hyperions again but this time we had more PVP ships, despite being outnumbered, we were going to engage them with skirmishing cruisers but an alliance named "Imperium Divine" decided to show up and help them out giving them an extra 26 guys of assorted kitchen sink blingy stuff. We were fairly unprepared and made a ditch effort to bring a few Ospreys to rep the POS, it exited at a terrible timezone for TXG given their typical online hours and the fact that they seem to be mostly German/Europeans. Things did not go as planned straight away though, we anchored a large tower in VT- but it seems like despite Affirmative being absent from querious they are still part of the QFC and gave intel to the QFC about our onlining POS, being nullsec roamers and terrible at POS mechanics, and stront being aids to haul in blockade runners along with modules/fuel, we didn't have much in the way of stront, and TXG - The Exiled Gaming alliance, decided to shoot our POS with 7 Hyperions as our tower was just beginning to start the onling cycle, fortunately, even though they dropped 3 Dreads and a FAX later when they realised they wouldn't get the tower to 25% shields before it would online, it did manage to go into it's measly 6 hour reinforcement timer. We set our sights first of all on the system of VT-, the true sec was reasonable, it was an ADM 1 system used by Affirmitive, according to Dotlan API stats, there had not been any activity in the system for over 4 months, VT- was also just 5 jumps away from highsec and also 5 jumps away from the freeport red-frog system so it was fairly convient to ship assets too. Me and Tikktokk, plus a few friends like /u/abkiller went into this campaign with very little knowledge to how the QFC operated, our plan was simple, we would take an easy ADM1 system with reasonable access and good enough truesec to get a few forsaken hubs to AFK VNI grind the ADM up to a reasonable level to make it non cancerous to defend, then focus on attacking a high truesec system with high ADM and installed upgrades to generate fights, and if we don't get fights, we get dank space. Despite it's good connections to empire, Querious also has some very lucrative systems and moons making it a perfect breeding ground for mid-sized alliances that want to be PvP focused. Querious in 2015 was the most fun I had in that year for solo PvP, and even before the horde fightclub era, Querious was always a fun place to roam when occupied by Darkness or other renter or even more PVE focused groups, it has heavily featured in my content over the past 3-4 years as it is one of the most easiest to access regions with Badivefi being a highsec system a mere 3 jumps away, Kaira is also another good entrance on the opposite side (although now is reletively unusuable in anything that isn't a travel ceptor or fast frigate due to Darwinism camps in Ashmarir and beyond), NPC Delve also being a stone throw away and good region geography making most pockets easy to access with the exception of fake delve/fake querious. Long Post of the fun I've been having with /u/tikktokk over the past week, the state of the QFC as witnessed by an outsider mostly just looking for ~goodfights~ and fun with a region that I've seen decline to the depths recently, currently Querious is mostly just an AFK/Ratting empire with people who have all the desire to fight as renter alliances do, while harboring only gatecamping/cloaky AFK PvPers.
